Last week, I gave a shout out to O'Connor's 2026 Australia Day Honours recipients. Congratulations on the appointment to the Order of Australia to William Faahan-Smith of Castletown, Ezzard Flowers of Gnowangerup, Betty Loxton of Kalgoorlie and Peter Robinson of Kojonup. The Australian Fire Service Medal was awarded to Mr John Jonker of Manjimup, who has given over 55 years of frontline service, and whose courage, technical skill and leadership has saved lives. | Rick Wilson
